Onleiheverbundhessen
The OnleiheVerbundHessen was established in October 2010 with 16 libraries. It has since grown to over 131 participants, making it one of the largest Onleihe consortia in Germany. It is open to all public libraries in Hesse, including support associations, school libraries, and small, medium, and large city libraries.
Libraries joining the consortium have the opportunity to apply for funding through the municipal financial equalization (more information can be found in the section on financial support).
The Hessian Specialist Office takes on the neutral coordination and moderation of the consortium. It represents the consortium to divibib GmbH, library software providers, and political stakeholders, manages the ordering calendar, supports working groups, and offers training sessions.
The OnleiheVerbundHessen is an intermunicipal project and operates based on majority decisions, with each library having one vote. Organized in working groups, member libraries collaboratively address topics such as acquisition, support, marketing, statistics, web editing, strategy, and training for digital offerings.
If your library is considering implementing the Onleihe or needs information about it, please feel free to contact our representatives. We are happy to assist you with any questions related to the Onleihe.
