Consultation

To keep the collections of the libraries current and attractive, we advise libraries on the development and reduction of their collections.
The consultation regarding collection reduction primarily takes place on-site. During this meeting, the library staff reviews the collection, and the most important criteria for weeding out materials are discussed. For preparation, we typically use the library data from the DBS and create a recommendation based on the last few years regarding which collection groups need to be reviewed.
If you are interested, please contact the responsible supervisor for your district. You can find their contact information through the contacts section.
